Needle-Felting is a form of soft sculpture. Brenda Petter is an accomplished fiber artist whose preferred medium is wool. Brenda has been focusing on needle felting or dry felting for the last five years, sculpting wool into animals of her own creation. This is accomplished with the use of a small barbed needle.
All of her work will be one of a kind creations and are perfect gifts for personal collections.

What exactly is Needle Felting?
Felt making is the most ancient form of fiber art datingas far back as 6,300 BC. "Needle felting" is a term for using one or more felting needles by hand to create flat felt or felt sculpture. Felt is created from wool or other animal fibers that are densely matted together. Basically, you take a wad of fiber and start poking it with special barbed needles. This causes the fiber to "felt" or "tangle" or "bond" to itself. After repeated pokes, the fiber can take on whatever shape the artist imagines.
All creations are 100% animal fiber. Brenda uses wool, alpaca, llama, mohair and angora. These superb works of art are suitable for all ages. Brenda ALWAYS welcomes custom orders. Each comes alive with it's own vibrant personality.
Unlike most artists, each needle felt creation made by Brenda Treibel is done without fillers, forms, or armatures of any kind.
